How was Skigital formed?

Shanna was doing freelance design work and social media marketing for local businesses. Kim was working in the advertising field for a large corporation. Both women knew they wanted to run their own business but independently, they were lacking skill sets.
In early 2015, Kim and Shanna met to discuss their entrepreneurial ideals and backgrounds. It was an indisputable match! Kim brought 20+ years of sales, marketing and management from the advertising and pharmaceutical industries. Shanna, already a proven successful entrepreneur, providing amazing graphic design and social media expertise. Shortly thereafter, Skigital LLC was up and running. What started as a small local business has quickly become a growing, thriving and recommended marketing agency. Partners, Kim and Shanna have created a trusted agency for businesses small and large almost overnight!

The Brand
Habitat for Humanity of Chester County’s goal is to ensure homeownership is available for all. They work in collaboration with families and individuals to build and finance affordable homes. At Habitat, they believe that everyone deserves a home, and their mission is to offer the hardworking neighbors in the community a hand-up to homeownership.



Objectives
As a new client of Skigital in May 2022, the main goal was to grow Habitat for Humanity’s social media presence and followers as much as possible and continue to do so throughout the partnership. Habitat for Humanity of Chester County has a loyal following and an extraordinary mission, so bringing additional attention to this non-profit organization by gaining more interaction and followers was essential.

Process
Skigital came up with a monthly content strategy for Habitat for Humanity based on events, promotions, and ongoing missions of the organization. Skigital began with ten social media posts per month, posted to both Facebook and Instagram, in addition to other services aside from social media marketing, such as Facebook events, email marketing, SMS messaging, and more. All social media posts were professionally designed by the Skigital team and contained engaging graphics, informative copy, and clickable links in the captions to drive individuals to Habitat for Humanity of Chester County’s website.

Conclusion
As noted in the data above, you can see that Skigital’s increased social media presence for the Habitat for Humanity of Chester County’s social media platforms had a tremendous increase across the board. Growth can be seen in every data indicator compared to the prior year, especially with people reached, engagement, link clicks, and new followers.
As Skigital continues to build Habitat’s social media presence, we will utilize the data above and assess what may have worked best for the month, what posts were most engaging, and what posts can be improved upon and why. Social media marketing is constantly evolving, and we tend to see different trends throughout the year. We will continue to build Habitat’s following and create engaging, informative content while working hand in hand with their mission of affordable homeownership.
