Overview

Skigital partnered with Limoncello Ristorante to drive sales and increase engagement during two key promotions in 2024: the Mother’s Day Gift Card Sale and the Holiday Gift Card Sale. Through strategic email, social media, and paid advertising campaigns, Skigital successfully increased sales, website traffic, and overall customer engagement for both campaigns.

Mother's Day Gift Card Sale

Objectives

The goal was to promote Limoncello’s annual Mother’s Day gift card sale, with 15% off all gift card purchases. Skigital aimed to surpass the prior year's sales and focused on a strategic marketing campaign that involved email marketing, a paid Meta ad, and social media posts.

Process

For the gift card promotion, we chose to do an email in April and May to promote the gift card sale. We created a visually appealing message in both emails, with links to take you right to the discounted gift card page. We also created one Meta ad and unique social media posts for both Limoncello locations and added a pop-up notification about the sale to Limoncello’s website.

Conclusion

Skigital’s 2024 Mother’s Day gift card sale promotion for Limoncello more than doubled the previous year’s sales. Our strategic marketing campaign enabled us to get the message to consumers without overloading them with too many posts, emails, or ads. Understanding your client’s demographic and knowing which platforms to promote on and when to do so is essential.

Holiday Gift Card Sale

Objectives

Our goal was to promote Limoncello’s annual Holiday Gift Card Sale, with five discount promotions from the end of November through the end of December.

  1. Flash Sale - 11/27 - 25% off gift cards when purchasing $1000

  2. Black Friday Sale - 11/29-12/2 - 15% off all gift cards, 20% off over $500

  3. Gift Card Bundle Sale - 12/3-12/31 - 15% off any gift card purchase over $500 and 20% off over $1000

  4. Flash Sale - 12/8 - 15% off all gift cards, 20% off over $500

  5. Flash Sale - 12/16 - 15% off all gift cards, 20% off over $500

Process

We combined current marketing services for Limoncello and our limited-time-only Skigital Holiday Bundle for the gift card promotions. Our bundle offer included the ability to choose from additional Skigital services tailored to the client’s holiday marketing needs. These services were executed depending on the length of each promotion. We created visually appealing and informative graphics for social media, email marketing, and paid ads, with links to take you right to the corresponding discounted gift card pages. We also added a pop-up notification about the sales to Limoncello’s website.

The Holiday Gift Card Sale campaign successfully increased website traffic and engagement compared to the previous year, demonstrating the effectiveness of a multi-channel marketing strategy. By combining email, SMS, social media, and paid ads, Skigital could reach customers at multiple touchpoints, driving conversions while maintaining a clear and consistent message. Each promotion's timing and visual appeal helped reinforce Limoncello’s brand and kept customers engaged throughout the holiday season.

Skigital’s 2024 campaigns for Limoncello demonstrate the value of a strategically executed multi-channel marketing approach. The Mother's Day and Holiday Gift Card campaigns exceeded previous years' results by understanding the client’s demographic, delivering targeted and visually appealing messaging, and carefully timing communications.
